TRIPP implementation impossible without Azerbaijan

The main negotiations on the TRIPP project, also known as the Trump Route, are being conducted between the United States and Armenia, but its implementation is impossible without Azerbaijan's participation, Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov told journalists on the sidelines of the high-level opening of the Fourth Climate Week (CW4) in Baku, Report informs.

According to the foreign minister, US partners regularly inform the Azerbaijani side about the progress of the negotiations.

"The main negotiations on TRIPP are being held between the US and Armenia, and this is natural. At the same time, US partners regularly inform Azerbaijan, as the project cannot be implemented without our country's participation. According to the information provided to us, the process is progressing successfully," Bayramov said.

The minister said the process was previously expected to begin by the end of this year, but according to the latest information, it is now scheduled for 2027.

"We consider this project very important for Azerbaijan, Armenia and the entire region, as well as for international partnership," he stressed.

Bayramov also said that Azerbaijan has already begun restoring railway infrastructure in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic.

According to him, international partners are interested in participating in the project. At the same time, Azerbaijan is independently taking the necessary steps to implement it.
