Tokayev dismisses Kazakhstan government following Kurultai elections

Kazakhstan's President Kassym‑Jomart Tokayev has dismissed the government after it handed over its powers to the newly elected Kurultai (Parliament).

According to SİA, citing Akorda, the head of state signed the relevant decree on August 28.

Under the decree, the government will continue to perform its duties until a new cabinet is approved.

The Kurultai's first session will be held today.
