Vance: US will not resume talks with Iran while ships in Strait of Hormuz are under fire

The US administration will not resume negotiations with Iran until Tehran stops firing on vessels, US Vice President J.D. Vance said on Thursday, according to SİA.

"There will be no negotiations as long as they continue firing on commercial vessels," he said at a White House briefing.

Vance emphasized that Washington retains the option of using any available means to resolve the conflict with Tehran. "All possible options are on the table for us - economic pressure, military pressure, diplomatic pressure, covert pressure," he said.

The vice president added that he would keep secret which particular option US President Donald Trump ultimately chooses.
