US President Donald Trump said that his administration looks forward to productive discussions on peace between Azerbaijan and Armenia to take place in June.
According to SİA, a message addressed to participants of the 31st Baku Energy Week, Trump said regional energy integration was one of the key pillars of the historic peace summit held in Washington on August 8, 2025.
Trump noted that when the parties had met at the White House, they had taken a step forward and had achieved long-term peace between Armenia and Azerbaijan. According to him, regional energy integration had been one of the key pillars of the summit held on August 8.
The US leader also stated that his administration looks forward to productive discussions on the issue in June.
He congratulated Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and the people of Azerbaijan on hosting Baku Energy Week, describing it as evidence of Azerbaijan's leading role in ensuring energy security.
Trump said that the United States had been a long-standing supporter of Azerbaijan"s oil and gas sector and expressed the view that the importance of the partnership in global energy security would continue to grow in the coming years.
He concluded by saying that joint efforts would contribute to strengthening peace, expanding prosperity, and building a more confident future for the region and the world.
