Azerbaijan recorded 40 fatalities in fires last year

In 2024, Azerbaijan investigated 1,649 fires, according to the country’s Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES), SİA informs.

Last year, fires resulted in 40 fatalities and 210 injuries. This represents a 2% increase in deaths and a 25% increase in injuries compared to 2023, with one more fatality and 42 additional injuries.
