Goods with inscriptions in Armenian sent from Iran to Azerbaijan

Armenia-made building materials have been spotted among other goods at the Silk Road customs post of the Baku Main Customs Department of the Azerbaijan State Customs Committee (SCC), SİA informs, citing the SCC.

The materials with inscriptions in the Armenian language were not declared to the customs authorities.

Until now Armenian goods that were attempted to be illegally imported into the country usually included food products and alcoholic beverages. The goods discovered this time were 24,820 containers of silicone products used in construction works and 1,050 empty cardboard boxes intended for packing the silicone product containers.

The building materials were sent by a company operating in Iran to the address of an individual in Azerbaijan.

The Committee and the State Security Service are investigating the case.
