Efforts are being made to exempt the import of electric cars from all customs duties and taxes, it has been reflected in the Cabinet of Ministers' report for activity in 2020, SİA reports.
The document notes that in order to ensure environmental and road safety, relevant work to take incentive measures in connection with the application of preferential credit terms for buyers on the exemption from all customs duties and taxes on import, state registration and operation of electric vehicles, as well as value-added tax on import of hybrid vehicles, revision of taxes and customs duties on import of new vehicles by date of manufacture, electric motor, and date of manufacture turnover of new vehicles.
