Delegation of EU envoys paid a visit to Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic. Delegation headed by the chief of EU diplomatic mission Roland Kobia included ambassadors of Germany, France, Italy, Austria, Netherlands, Latvia, Lithuania, Czech Republic, and temporary plenipotentiaries of Belgian and Bulgarian embassies in Azerbaijan.
The delegation was received by Vasif Talibov Chairman of the Supreme Majlis of Nakhchivan AR. The chairman emphasized that Nakhchivan AR as a part of Azerbaijan plays an important role in the implemented Eastern Partnership Program and the agreement on cooperation between Azerbaijan and EU. He said Nakhchivan AR and federal province of Stirlia of Austria maintain mutual cooperation on the bases of the signed agreement.
In his turn, Kobia noted that the visit was aimed at defining prospects of cooperation with Nakhchivan AR.
In the frame work of the two days visit to Nakhchivan AR members of delegation will go sightseeing, visit historic monuments and hold several meetings.
