"First European Games will be written in Azerbaijan’s history. No matter what attitude shown, Azerbaijan will held this great event at the high level. Smear campaign conducted against Azerbaijan is temporary. Like Azerbaijan’s membership of the UN Security Council, the Baku-2015 first European Games too are a historical event," AzerbaijanI president’s Assistant for public and political affairs, Head of the pubic affairs department at the President Administration Ali Hasanov told at the meeting with heads of Azerbaijan’s media outlets.
Noting that first European Games which will kicks off after a few days in Baku, Azerbaijan, President’s Assistant expressed gratitude to media representatives for providing coverage of this campaign.
Touching upon on significance of Azerbaijani President’s order on marking the 140th anniversary of Azerbaijan’s national press Ali Hasanov told that this is great care for our media on its role on protection our national values. The order also includes the preparation of an action plan and we decided to discuss this action plan with mass media leaders.
Chairman of the Press Council Aflatun Amashov said marking anniversaries of press became tradition. The orders signed on the 130th, 135th, and 140th anniversaries of Azerbaijan’s press have turned into a holiday for our media. He also stressed that President Ilham Aliyev’s order on marking 140th anniversary of press is continuation of good tradition founded by Azerbaijan’s National Leader Heydar Aliyev.
The chairman of the Fund of State Support for the Development of Mass Media under the Azerbaijani President, Vugar Safarli talking about significance of thiis order told that after European Games we will starts some events dedicated to the 140th anniversary of the press. He noted that recommendations on the action plan would be presented to head of the Presidential Administration Ramiz Mehdiyev, and the action plan will then be approved.
Highlighting the care for press by President of Azerbaijan, head of Ses Media Group Behruz Guliyev offered to hold one of events dedicated to the 140th anniversary of the Azerbaijan’s press in Nakhchivan. This propose has already been discussed between editors in chief.
