OSCE/ODIHR long-term election observation mission that will follow Azerbaijan’s presidential election on October 9 will start activity in Azerbaijan next week, said Head of the OSCE Office in Baku Koral Targay.
To him, the office of the mission will be opened on August 26. 30 persons will come to Azerbaijan with the long-term mission. In addition, the mission will comprise a support staff consisting of 50-55 persons.
The Ambassador said that short-term OSCE mission to observe the processes on the election day will consist of 180 persons.
The long-term mission will conduct monitoring of pre-election situation in the country.
