"Constituency Election Commissions (CEC) and Precinct Election Commissions should be highly qualified to hold the elections at the high level in October. Our direct duty is to achieve correct steps taken by the subjects participating in the elections in accordance with the Electoral Code and deliver the results of elections operatively and timely,"said the Chairman of the Central Election Commission Mazahir Panahov at the opening ceremony of specialized courses on election law for chairmen of Constituency Election Commissions, SIA reports.
Chairman CEC said that all necessary conditions have been created for holding democratic elections in Azerbaijan: "Conditions have been created for parties to participate in the elections. There is no control over the press, especially internet, constituency election commissions and polling stations must have high professionalism. All conditions have been created in the country for holding free and democratic elections in the atmosphere of pluralism".
