International conference entitled "Welfare of children - welfare of society" has today kicked off at the Azerbaijani Parliament (Milli Majlis). SIA reports that, the conference is held within "One in Five" campaign of the Council of Europe. A Special Sub-committee of Social Affairs, Health and Sustainable Development Committee of the Parliament Assembly of Council of Europe (PACE) has been formed for the conference.
The conference has also been attended by Deputy Chairman of Milli Majlis Bahar Muradova, chairman of International and Inter-Parliamentary Relations Committee of Azerbaijani Parliament, head of Azerbaijani delegation to PACE Samad Seyidov, chairman of legal policy and state building committee Ali Huseynli, Member of Parliaments Sevinj Fataliyeva, Asaf Hajiyev, Musa Gasimli and heads of some NGOs.
1st Vice-Chairperson of the Committee on Social Affairs, Health and Sustainable Development of the PACE Valeriu Giletchi, PACE reporter Sylvia Eloisa Bone Pero, PACE members Stefan Schennach, Clemens Lammerskitten, member of the Hellenic Parliament Michael Katrinis, including Head of UNICEF Baku Office Mark Hereward are participating in the conference.
To note that, the meeting of the Special Sub-committee established within the conference will also be held.
