The Ambassador showed interest in publication of articles and interviews about the Italian economy on pages of Caspian Energy.
Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Italy to the Republic of Azerbaijan Giampaolo Cutillo gave an exclusive interview to Caspian Energy. Speaking about prospects of cooperation between Azerbaijan and Italy, Ambassador Giampaolo Cutillo emphasized in his interview with Caspian Energy: "We certainly have a potential for further development. For this reason we still are not happy with the current figures as they can be even better. I have witnessed a very significant increase of the Italian export to Azerbaijan over the last 3 or 4 years. If we look back in 2011, our Italian export to Azerbaijan was less than 200 million euros, in 2014 it reached 600 million euros, so these facts are the proof expansion and development of our relations".
He also noted that Italy is a main trade partner of Azerbaijan. "Azerbaijan has been the first oil supplier to Italy since 2014. The second reason is the future projects. As you know Italy is a partner in the Southern Gas Corridor project and we are already committed with all our partners, including Azerbaijan of course, to starting the construction of TAP, the Trans Adriatic Pipeline in 2016.
"We have already congratulated Azerbaijan because these games are very important. The opening ceremony was amazing and we were very happy to be there. I think it is a great start for Azerbaijan", the Ambassador resumed.
