Russia plans to move units from the base in Armenia to the war in Ukraine

The Russian Federation plans to transfer separate units from the Russian base in Armenia to the war against Ukraine, says the operational information shared the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Facebook at 18:00, SİA reports quoting UNIAN.

"The military leadership of the Russian Federation, which continues its efforts to restore the combat capability of various units involved in hostilities, plans to transfer some parts of the 102nd Russian military base in Armenia to the territory of Ukraine," the statement said.

The refusal of some Russian servicemen to take part in hostilities confirms the low morale of Russian servicemen after clashes with Ukrainian defense forces.

"Thus, about 130 Russian servicemen refused to take part in hostilities, especially at the permanent deployment point of the 20th motorized infantry division of the 8th General Army of the Southern Military District," the statement said.

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine notes that the personnel of the Russian troops are discouraged, and the number of suicides and self-injuries is increasing.

"It is planned to dismiss the commander of the 45th Special Brigade of the Airborne Troops of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, Colonel Vadim Pankov, due to the lack of positive results and inability to fulfill the tasks." He is accused of failing to carry out a combat mission at Gostomel airport.
