Joint manufacture of petroleum products, including automobile and aviation fuel for Uzbekistan, is one of the promising areas of energy cooperation between Baku and Tashkent, Uzbek Energy Minister Sherzod Khodjaev told the Uzbekistan 24 TV channel, informs.
According to him, energy cooperation is developing in several areas. One of these is a project to extract hydrocarbons on the Ustyurt Plateau, where work is currently underway.
Another area includes the supply of electricity generated from renewable sources in Uzbekistan to Europe via Azerbaijan, with the participation of Kazakhstan, the minister said.
"Another area proposed today is the joint production of petroleum products, including automobile and aviation fuel, for the needs of Uzbekistan," he noted.
The minister added that the supply of green energy produced in Uzbekistan to Europe, in cooperation with Azerbaijan, also holds great promise.
