U.S. proposes new language for parts of proposed hostage and ceasefire deal between Israel and Hamas
The Biden administration has in recent days presented new language for parts of the proposed hostage and ceasefire deal between Israel and Hamas in an effort to bridge the gaps between them and reach an agreement, three sources with direct knowledge told Axios, SİA reports.
According to the report, the three sources said the effort the U.S. is making together with Qatari and Egyptian mediators is focused on Article 8 in the proposal.
The sources said U.S. officials drafted new language for Article 8 in order to bridge the gap between Israel and Hamas and are pushing Qatar and Egypt to press Hamas to accept the new proposal.
