Discussions were held on the development of tourism relations and cooperation opportunities between Azerbaijan and Japan.
The meeting took place between the Chairman of the State Tourism Agency (STA), Fuad Nagiyev, and the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Japan to Azerbaijan, Katsuya Vatanabe, SIA reports.
During the meeting, prospects for Azerbaijan's participation in the "JATA Tourism Expo" exhibition to be held in Osaka, Japan in September, and initiatives to increase awareness of Azerbaijan in Japan were discussed.
Fukuzawa Katsuon, a renowned Japanese expert in television series and films, was proposed to visit Azerbaijan in May to explore the country's tourist attractions and create programs showcasing Azerbaijan's tourism potential.
The necessity of implementing joint projects to promote mutual tourist visits was emphasized during the discussions.
