There are differences in the quality of medical care among regions, and blood and blood system, and respiratory diseases have increased, said Isa Aliyev, Advisor to the Chairman of the Board of the State Agency for Compulsory Health Insurance, at a public hearing on the topic "Primary health care: current situation, work done, problems and ways to solve them" at a meeting of the Health Committee of the Milli Majlis (Azerbaijani Parliament), SİA reports.
Isa Aliyev said that this constitutes 30 /% of the cases of illness: "These can be reduced through primary health care prevention. One of the problems in the availability of primary health care is the lack of medical personnel and human resources. Although medical institutions have been built in Azerbaijan for decades, medical personnel are directed to qualified assistance.
A large part of the funding in the health sector is also directed to qualified medical assistance. This is a problem that exists all over the world. How does the world solve this? We have studied the health care of more than 30 countries. They see strengthening primary health care as a pillar for solving the problems I have just listed. According to WHO estimates, strengthening primary health care can increase life expectancy by 6-7 years in low-income countries and 2-3 years in high-income countries."
