West works aggressively and inappropriately with Moldovan President, Russian FM claims

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov has accused Western countries of working aggressively and disrespectfully with Moldovan President Maia Sandu.

Lavrov made these remarks in interviews with Moskva speaks, Komsomolskaya pravda, and Sputnik, SIA reports.

He noted that the West is turning Sandu into a person who directly or through Romania drags Moldova into NATO without any restraint or decency.

Lavrov added that previously the same role was attributed to Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelensky. He recently noted that Moldova will be turned into the next victim of the West's hybrid war against Russia.

According to Lavrov, Western countries also plan to turn Transnistria into a hotspot of tension. The minister stated that the West intends to use military force to bring this alliance to the next strategic defeat against Russia.

"But they still have no prospects," the minister added.

Earlier, the newspaper Izvestiya wrote, citing Moldovan experts, that Chisinau is pressuring Transnistria and Gagauzia to fully integrate them into the republic.
