According to the latest Speedtest Global Index report published by the international company Ookla, Armenia ranks 81st out of 111 countries worldwide in mobile internet speed, lagging behind all its neighbors in the regional context, SİA informs via Business Media.
As of August 2024, the average mobile internet speed in the country was 31.16 Mbps.
Georgia outpaces Armenia, ranking 68th with a speed of 38.43 Mbps, while Azerbaijan shows even better results, placing 49th with a speed of 53.98 Mbps. Türkiye and Iran also surpass Armenia, ranking 60th and 69th, respectively.
The leaders of the ranking are Gulf countries: the UAE tops the list with an impressive speed of 360 Mbps, followed by Qatar and Kuwait. At the opposite end of the spectrum is Yemen, where the lowest mobile internet speed was recorded at just 7.26 Mbps.
