In January-May 2025, the State Service for Special Communication and Information Security identified 453 cyber attack indicators (Indicators of Compromise - IOCs) targeting government agencies in Azerbaijan, SİA informs.
This figure is 24% higher year-on-year.
Of these cyber threats, 190 were identified and blocked based on internal investigations, while 263 were identified and blocked based on investigations of incidents reported by government agencies.
In May alone, 82 cyber attacks were identified, which is 61% more compared to a year ago.
In the first five months of 2025, 814.37 million malicious links were blocked on the AzStateNet network, 4.48 million malicious files were blocked through the central antivirus system installed at end users, and 195,082 electronic documents with malicious content were blocked through the Sandbox protection system.
