It is proposed to introduce the concept of Azerbaijani sign language into the bill on "The Rights of Persons with Disabilities."
As SİA informs, the corresponding amendments were submitted for discussion at the meeting of the Milli Majlis Committee on Labor and Social Policy.
MP Vugar Bayramov noted that this amendment complies with international conventions and is widely used in developed countries.
"Active use of sign language in television programs is planned. This is an important step that will facilitate access to information for people with disabilities," said the parliamentarian.
