The Maintenance and Restoration works are being carried out at the "Hacı Fəttah" qanat (ancient underground irrigation channel) located in the Ordubad district by the Irrigation Department of the Melioration and Water Management Open Joint-Stock Company of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic.
The Society's press service informed the Nakhchivan office about the ongoing repair and restoration activities, SIA reports citing AZƏRTAC.
The "Hacı Fəttah" qanat, considered one of the ancient qanats, features structures known as "qırxpillə" (literally translated as forty pillars), most of which are situated along the edges of houses.
