Another batch of humanitarian aid from Azerbaijan intended for Ukraine has been dispatched, SİA informs.
The aid was dispatched from Sumgayit Technologies Park.
In accordance with the decree by President Ilham Aliyev dated February 5, 2025, funds in the manat equivalent of one million US dollars were allocated for this purpose. The first batch was sent on February 7.
Under the decree, the humanitarian cargo sent in two batches consisted of over 52,000 meters of electrical cables and wires, as well as 17 transformers.
Based on the request received from the Ukrainian side, the specified supplies are intended to restore sustainable power supply to areas affected by the war.
To date, Azerbaijan has provided over $40 million in humanitarian and reconstruction aid to Ukraine. So far, electrical equipment, including 134 transformers and complete transformer stations, around 70 generators, and more than 3.4 million meters of cables and wires have been sent.
