Azerbaijani MP: Armenia wants to delay signing peace treaty until 2027

Armenia talks about peace but wants to delay signing a peace agreement until at least February 19, 2027, Azerbaijani MP Elman Nasirov said during the first plenary meeting of the Milli Majlis’ spring session, Report informs.

Nasirov recalled that at the meeting of EU ambassadors in Brussels, the term of the EU civilian mission in Armenia was extended until February 19, 2027:

"It's no secret that this is not a civilian mission but a spy network, and those there are not diplomats but intelligence officers. Why should they be called an EU civilian mission?"

Nasirov emphasized that the mission also includes Canadian representatives, and in this case, this group cannot be called an EU mission.

"Canada is a NATO country. Then we should also say that we're talking about a NATO mission in the EU. It's probably not excluded that in the future it will be transformed into a civilian-military mission, and then into a military mission," he said.
