Azerbaijan-Ukraine collaboration strengthens security and humanitarian efforts

Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, Ihor Klymenko, expressed gratitude for the unwavering support from the Azerbaijani government.

He recalled Azerbaijan's crucial assistance in managing the aftermath of the Kakhovka hydroelectric power station dam explosion during a meeting with the Azerbaijani Ambassador to Ukraine, Seymur Mardaliyev.

Discussions during the meeting centered on the exchange of experience in humanitarian demining between Azerbaijan and Ukraine. Minister Klymenko acknowledged Azerbaijan's expertise in dealing with deadly mine threats and highlighted the mutual benefits of sharing experiences. He specifically thanked Azerbaijan for providing mechanical demining vehicles, which will play a vital role in clearing landmines from agricultural areas in the occupied territories.

The meeting further addressed collaborative efforts in combating illegal arms trafficking, crime prevention, and exchanging experiences related to the reintegration of temporarily occupied territories. Minister Klymenko expressed optimism, stating, "I do hope that our countries will continue cooperation in security issues and enhance mutual activity." This reaffirms the commitment of both nations to working together on various fronts, contributing to security and humanitarian efforts.
