The fourth wave of coronavirus spread began in two provinces of Iran, President Hassan Rouhani said, SİA informs referring to TASS.
“Unfortunately, the fourth wave has begun in two provinces, and it may start in a number of other provinces if we don’t comply with [medical protocols],” Rouhani said.
In recent days, there has been an increase in the number of coronavirus infections in Iran.
On April 1, for the first time since the beginning of December, more than 11,000 new daily cases of COVID-19 were detected in the country.
According to official statistics, as of April 2, the total number of infected people in Iran reached 1,908,974, and the number of deaths - 62,876. total of 1,633,949 people recovered in the republic.
