Anti-govt protests continue in Yerevan, number of detainees reached 277 people detained

The number of people detained during the Armenian opposition protests has reached 277, SİA reports.

Armenian police have announced that 277 people have been detained and taken to police stations so far.

The opposition says the police use violence against protest participants.

Police detained 73 people during the protests held by the Armenian opposition in the streets of Yerevan, SİA reports citing Sputnik Armenia.

Notably, today, opposition members are trying to close the streets and avenues of the capital, demanding the resignation of Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.
