As a result of measures taken against smuggling activities, contraband worth a total of 2,200,092 AZN, including medicines, alcoholic beverages, tobacco products, cartridges belonging to the Canik 55 pistol were discovered and seized, the Press Center of the State Border Service told SİA.
In efforts against drug trafficking, 246 kilograms and 496 grams of narcotics, along with 833 pills classified as potent narcotic substances, were found and removed from illegal circulation.
