Company AG Telekom (founder of cable television KATV1) and SN Telekom (founder of cable television SNTV) providing cable television services in Azerbaijan have established the Azerbaijani Cable Operators’ Association (ACOA). As SIA reports, according to the information given from press-service of Ministry of Telecommunication and Information Technologies the new organization aims to coordinate the activities of the country’s cable operators, participate in the preparation of regulations governing the activities of participants in this segment of the Azerbaijani telecommunications market, cooperate in addressing common challenges, share experiences, etc..
KATV1 President Samir Gurbanov was elected ACOA Chairmen.
The ACOA also takes steps to establish contacts with their counterparts in other countries and is expected to hold an international conference in Baku soon.
