Azerbaijan’s President Ilham Aliyev visited the graves of the victims of 20 January tragedy in the Alley of Martyrs, laid carnations on their graves.
The head of state laid a wreath in front of the Eternal Flame complex, paid tribute to the memory of the martyrs who laid down their lives for the Motherland.
The National Anthem of Azerbaijan was also performed.
Attending the commemoration ceremony were also state and government officials, leaders of religious communities, ambassadors of foreign countries and representatives of international organizations functioning in Azerbaijan.
