Newly appointed ambassador of the United States to Azerbaijan Richard Morningstar has met journalists.
He said relations between Azerbaijan and US were very strong.
"We jointly work on issues of mutual interest." The Ambassador said both countries were interested in developing regional stability, democracy, human rights, energy security and economy, as well as fighting against terrorism.
On the Armenia-Azerbaijan Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, Morningstar expressed hope it would be solved through OSCE Minsk Group mediation.
The ambassador also noted official Washington was interested in the continuation of the dialogue on solving the conflict between the Azerbaijan and Armenia.
Morningstar said he would spare no efforts to contribute to developing the US-Azerbaijan relations.
