Presidents of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and Ukraine Viktor Yanukovich have held talks on the sidelines of the Summit on Nuclear Security in Seoul.
The statement came from the official website of the Ukrainian president.
The nuclear security summit which kicked off on 26 March is devoted to issues of prevention of nuclear terror which represents a serious threat for the international community in the 21st centuryş
The agenda of the summit which is held with participation of the heads of states and governments of over 50 countries, heads of international organizations, include the issues of nuclear security, including fight against nuclear terror, protection of nuclear materials and nuclear facilities, prevention of illegal turnover of nuclear materials, as well as the problem of nuclear security in the light of the Fukushima disaster.
Analysis believe that participation of the head of the leading state in the South Caucasus, President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev is an indicator of the importance that is attached to our country on the international arena.
