The representatives of border organizations of Afghanistan, Kazakhstan,
Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan, as well as NATO,
UN, European Union, Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry, National Security
Ministry, Interior and Defense ministries, State Migration Service,
State Customs Committee, the State Commission for Fighting Against Drug
Addiction and Illicit Drugs participate in the two-day workshop.
In their keynote speeches, Chief of the State Border Service,
Lieutenant-General Elchin Guliyev, Azerbaijani Deputy Foreign Minister
Araz Azimov, NATO Assistant Secretary General for Defense Policy and
Planning Huseyin Dirioz spoke about the development of current
cooperation in the abovementioned direction.
Within the event the workshop participants will become familiar with
service, organization of training-education and social-living conditions
at the Academy of the State Border Service.
