The situation in Ukraine has not affected the operations of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) in this country.
The statement came from a high-ranking official of SOCAR, who spoke before journalists as part of the Azerbaijan Investment Summit in Baku.
He also noted that the political crisis in Ukraine affected the volumes of company’s oil products sales.
"The sales volumes have slightly declined", he said.
Answering a question about whether there are any facilities belonging to SOCAR in the area of the Autonomous Republic of the Crimea, the company representative noted that SOCAR’s entire business is concentrated beyond the Crimea.
It has to be reminded that SOCAR has a representative office and a network of fuelling stations in Ukraine.
In addition, SOCAR supplies oil to the Ukrainian refineries.
