Azerbaijan-US business forum has been organized in Baku by Azerbaijan Export and Investment Promotion Foundation (Azpromo) with the support of the Ministry of Economy and Industry. Officials, representatives of US companies operating in Turkey in chemical industry, power economy, pharmaceuticals, alternative and renewable energy, ICT, logistics and service sector attended the forum. The forum was attended by around 70 Azerbaijani and US businessmen.
Addressing the opening ceremony of the business forum, head of Azpromo Rufat Mammadov said Azerbaijan-US relations are based on useful cooperation, underlined the importance of the business forum and business meetings in the enhancement of the relations between the businessmen of the two countries.
Rufat Mammadov gave information about the achievements gained thanks to the socio-economic policy in Azerbaijan, business and investment environment, ongoing large-scale projects in the country. He underlined that Azerbaijan is a favorable and attractive country for foreign investments and called on the US businessmen to active cooperation.
Senior Commercial Officer at the US embassy in Turkey Michael Lally underlined the importance of using the existing potential to enhance economic relations between the US and Azerbaijan, significance of the ties between the businessmen in the development of the US-Azerbaijan economic and commercial cooperation.
Azpromo representative Azer Huseynov made a presentation on the investment environment and business opportunities of Azerbaijan. Following this, US companies made presentations, businessmen held bilateral meetings.
