869.500 passengers were transported via Azerbaijan’s air transport during January-July, 2012, up 13.1% from a year earlier, said the State Statistical Committee. 98.5% of transportation was carried out by state sector, 1.5% - by private companies.
At the same time, 32.400 tons of cargo was transported via air transport during this period, up 17% from a year earlier.
At present time, 6 airports operate in Azerbaijan.
