The Acropolic Museum in Athens, Greece, has hosted the 5th meeting of the Board of Directors of Nizami Ganjavi International Center.
The event was held on the invitation of UNESCO Goodwill Ambassador Marianna Vardinoyannis.
Opening the event, Ms. Vardioyannis hailed the organization of the meeting in Greece as an important event for the country.
The meeting featured discussions on the Center`s future activity and determination of its status.
The speakers also stressed President Ilham Aliyev`s attention to the Center`s activity.
Participants in the event included former Latvian president, Co-Chair the Nizami Ganjavi International Center, President of Club de Madrid Vaira Vīķe-Freiberga, director of the Bibliotheca Alexandrina Ismail Serageldin, ESCO Goodwill Ambassador Marianna Vardinoyannis, former Romanian President Emil Constantinescu, and former Bulgarian President Petar Stoyanov.
