The 5th International Festival of Culinary Photography was organized by the tourism office of Oloron Sainte-Marie on September 28-29, 2013. Using the same principle as for the "Photo of a Dish", the organizers are challenging pastry chef and photographer pairs to create a photo of a dessert, SIA reports.
Azerbaijan was also firstly represented in such a prestigious event by the initiative of "Azerbaijani house" in Paris.
To note, there was three hours on the stopwatch for buttering, brushing, clarifying, baking, emulsifying, dusting, frosting... and shooting a photo of a perfect pastry.
To judge the quality of the photos for the various categories of the 5th International Festival of Culinary Photography, the organizers have put together a jury of culinary and photography professionals. The festival judge choice 18 pairs among about 100 ones.
Member of Azerbaijani Photographers Union Etibar Jafarov and member of National Culinary organization Agha Ashurova couples presented a photo named "Odlar Yuru" ("Place of Fire"). Among the top five countries, Azerbaijani pairs’ photo was welcomed by the judge with great interest.
Japanese representatives won the contest.
