"Milli Majlis must express serious protest against the visit of Uruguayan MPs to the occupied Azerbaijani territories and their meeting with the leadership of the separatist regime of Nagorno-Karabakh."
The statement came from MP Ganira Pashayeva at the plenary session of the Parliament on the draft State Budget for 2013, while commenting on the visit.
"By visiting the Armenian-occupied Nagorno-Karabakh, representatives of the Parliament of Uruguay expressed disrespect for our country. They visited the occupied territories of Azerbaijan and met with the leadership of the separatist regime.
This is lack of respect for the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Azerbaijan," she said.
