A woman suffering from narcolepsy has revealed that the condition causes her to fall asleep as often as 50 times a day – and that she has ‘no life’ as a result, SIA informs with reference to the Metro.
Jacky Lloyd, a former chef, told This Morning that while she has always had the condition, which causes sufferers to nod off at inappropriate times – she did not find out about it until she was diagnosed in 2008.
''I’ve tried everything, all the medications that are available. I’m on several different medications just to stay awake.'' she told Phillip Schofield and Amanda Holden.
The presenters warned that there was a possibility Jacky might even nod off during the interview – but she managed to stay conscious throughout, as she explained just how debilitating her narcolepsy really is.
