The world's smallest deer was born in the Queens Zoo in NYC. SIA, citing foreign press, reports that weighing at around one pound, this young doe is an endangered southern pudu. As adults, they weigh up to 20 pounds. Although small, pudus are good at jumping, running and climbing. They even bark when they sense danger, and run in zig-zag patterns to escape predators.
