Hundreds take part in Father Christmas charity race

Some 2,500 people dressed in Father Christmas costumes to take a pre-Christmas run around one of London's parks to raise money for a disability charity.

The organisers called it the Red, White and Bearded festive fun run and Santas were expected to run – or perhaps walk – around the six kilometre (almost four miles) course.

They also took part in some organised physical training.

The charity – Disability Snowsport UK – was hoping to raise £50,000 to help disabled children and adults experience snow sports.
