Abel Maharramov: It would be better for the students of the Master of Arts and postgraduate programs not to be drafted
"We are concerned about the draft deferment problem of the Master of Arts and Postgraduate applicants. The government will take measures soon to solve this problem", told Deputy Chairman of the Parliament’s Science and Education Committee, Rector of the Baku State University Abel Maharramov, SIA reports.
"It would be better for the students of the MA and postgraduate programs also not to be drafted. It will contribute to the development of sciences. When the students return from army they try to get distance education, which doesn’t give them opportunities to succeed. I’m going to make official statement on this issue and send its text to the relevant government bodies. I have already sent it to the parliament. I consider that if this issue is reviewed again it will contribute to the development of education and sciences in Azerbaijan", told Abel Maharramov.
