The Education Ministry considers that undergraduates should be exempted from military service.
The statement came from Education Minister Misir Mardanov.
"This particularly concerns professions involving mathematics, physics
and other subjects where students are taught theory of sciences," the
minister noted.
According to Mardanov, students after entering master’s degree go to
the military service, then come back and continue their study.
Currently, the Azerbaijani Parliament considers deferring the military service for undergraduates.
