Azerbaijan excluded from list of countries with African swine fever threat
The International Office of Epizootics (OIE) excluded Azerbaijan from a list of countries likely to be threatened by the spread of African swine fever, spokesman for the State Veterinary Service under the Azerbaijani Agriculture Ministry Yolchu Khanveli told SIA.
"Azerbaijan was included from this list in 2008 due to an outbreak of plague in a village in the Gabala region. Due to the expiration of three year quarantine and the positive results of checks on animals in the village, Azerbaijan has now been excluded from this list," Mr Hanveli said.
