The future national security adviser to US President-elect Donald Trump, Mike Waltz, urged to resolve the Russian-Ukrainian conflict, adding that the next US leader will focus on a solution.
"The President has been crystal clear that he sees this conflict <…> as needing to come to an end. I think the question now <…> is, how do we drive that deal? How do we drive all sides to the [negotiating] table, who's at that table, and then what are the broader frameworks of [the deal]," he said in an interview with CNBC.
He compared the scope of the tragedy to World War One, describing it as "trench warfare" with hundreds of thousands of victims.
