Ukraine's Military Says Russia Launched 20 "Shahed" Drones, Targets Several Regions

The Ukrainian Air Force Command has announced that Russia launched 20 "Shahed" type unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) against Ukraine, SIA reports with reference to foreign media.

The command stated that the Russian military used these drones during their nighttime attacks on Ukraine.

According to the statement, the Ukrainian Air Force Command's response measures resulted in the destruction of all UAVs in the Kharkiv, Poltava, Vinnytsia, Odesa, and Nikolaev regions.

Ukrainian Chief of Staff Oleksandr Sirski also shared a post on the official internet platform, detailing the situation on the frontline. He reported that Ukrainian units have been operating in the Kharkiv region for several days, conducting "military operations" due to the severe situation there. Sirski stated that the Russian military has expanded its active combat zone by approximately 70 kilometers.

Sirski also noted that the Russian military has significantly reinforced its troops in the north. "Although the enemy plans to launch a surprise attack earlier than expected, our defenses are still intact," he said.
