Nigerian Police rescues over 100 kidnapped individuals during operations in Katsina state

The Nigerian police have announced that they rescued more than 100 individuals kidnapped during operations conducted last month in Katsina state.

Abubakar Sadiq Aliyu, spokesperson for the Katsina state police, stated in the release that the police conducted operations against armed gangs across various locations in the state from March 1st to 31st.

Aliyu noted that over 100 kidnapped individuals were rescued during the operations, SIA reports.

Aliyu reported that 5 members of armed gangs were killed during the operations, with 64 others apprehended.

Nigeria is combating not only armed gangs but also fighting against Boko Haram and the West African arm of ISIS, ISWAP.
