Russia prepares to assert control over all of Ukraine despite political statements

Despite statements from Ukrainian politicians, Russia is gearing up to establish control over the entirety of Ukraine, asserting that Ukraine is an integral part of Russia.

This assertion comes from Dmitry Medvedev, the deputy chairman of Russia's Security Council, SIA reports.

Medvedev highlighted this perspective during his participation in the Knowledge Society marathon, emphasizing that regardless of the declarations from former leaders in Ukraine who denied its connection to Russia, the understanding that Ukraine is indeed a part of Russia should be eternal.

According to him, the territories on both sides of the Dnieper River are integral parts of Russia's strategic historical borders, making any attempts to forcibly alter them or sever them futile.

The deputy chairman of the Security Council called on Moscow's adversaries to "mind their own business," stating that Russia does not seek others' territory but will not withdraw from its own lands.

Addressing critics who claim that Russia's primary goal is to annex Ukrainian territories, Medvedev clarified that Russia is not striving to obtain Ukraine's abundant resources such as wheat, steel, gas, and coal.

Furthermore, he emphasized that the real wealth for Russia in Ukraine lies in its people, and Russia will not refrain from any action necessary to safeguard their well-being.

Medvedev also pledged to continue the "special military operation" until the end, ensuring the defeat of "neo-Nazis" in Ukraine.
